The League of Extraordinary Albertans is a community run non-profit organization.

The purpose of the League is to act as a resource in initiating and propagating art and culture that is rooted in the ethos of our community and to uphold the 10 Principles of Burning Man. It is also to act in an open and transparent way and to safeguard the resources generated by regional events and to make sure these funds are directed back into the Alberta community.

Past regional events

Freezer Burn

Since 2008, this regional celebration has brought the greater Alberta community together. The official Alberta Regional Burning Man burn event. A blank canvas for participants to express themselves through costuming, art and a multitude of imaginations. Held in Alberta, between Calgary and Edmonton in late June.


Since 2008, The official Alberta Regional Burning Man Decomp event. A “decompression” from the default world, one last celebration before waiting another year for the summer to begin. Held both in Calgary and more recently in Edmonton. Traditionally held in early October.
